Our super sire I Am Invincible enjoyed his best ever results at the 2017 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale with not one, but two spectacular colts selling for upwards of $1million. On the first day of trade, I Am Invincible provided the top colt of the session when his colt from Captivating Claire sold for $1.6 million. Consigned by Segenhoe Thoroughbreds, he was bought by one of the best judges in the business in James Harron Bloodstock. I Am Invincible then followed up on that success with another cracking colt from Streetcar Stella selling on Thursday for Widden Stud to fetch $1.5 million to the bid of Aquis Farm / Blue Sky Bloodstock. Julian Blaxland of Blue Sky was delighted to secure the star colt. “He is a gorgeous horse and he’s by one of the young great speed stallions in Australia. He’s just a beautiful horse. He’s got huge great hind quarter on him and a beautiful head. He had the perfect attitude all week. We went to our limit, but I’m delighted to get him for Aquis Farm,” Blaxland told ANZ Bloodstock News. “He’s by a wonderful young stallion, whose fee has just gone up and rightly so. Stallions like him are the stallions of the future and you can buy (his progeny) with confidence. “We’re not sure which trainer to send him to. There are a three or four trainers asking to train him, but we will make that decision over the next few days.” I Am Invincible finished the sale with 13 yearlings averaging $499,231 representing 18.2 times his 2014 service fee of $27,500.
