Yarraman Park bred and sold Blendwell saluted in good style at Moonee Valley on Wednesday.

Prepared by Peter Moody, the four year-old Hard Spun (USA) mare has been racing in great heart this preparation and had not missed place in her last six runs since resuming from a spell in November.

She relished the heavy track and 1600 metres to score a half neck win, taking her overall record to four wins and six placings from 13 starts.

A $40,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for her trainer, Blendwell runs in the familiar tartan and red sash colours of the Esplin family.

Blendwell is the third winner from three foals to race from New Zealand Group II winner Bridie Belle, who has a weanling filly by I Am Invincible and will foal to Hinchinbrook this spring.

Yarraman Park sold the current yearling from Bridie Belle, a filly by Hinchinbrook for $60,000 at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale this year.
