Perth, March 23 – Promising Flying Spur filly Bliss Street, a Yarraman Park graduate, will chase a valuable black type victory after breaking her maiden status with a brilliant win at Ascot on Wednesday.

A member of the powerful Danny Morton stable, Bliss Street sat off the speed before coming with a stunning burst in the straight to reel in the leaders and then race away.

Bliss Street was sent out the on course favourite after an excellent last start third in the Listed Gimcrack Stakes.

She was paid up for the recent Karrakatta Plate, but missed a run after being installed the second emergency.

Connections had plenty to smile about when the exciting filly raced home an easy winner.

"Will (Pike, winning rider) got one off and there was good speed and she had a nice run with cover and proved too good," Morton commented.

"We’ll look at the Sires’ now provided she comes through this run ok – it certainly looks a nice race for her."

Bliss Street (pictured as a yearling) was purchased by Danny Morton for $100,000 from the draft of Yarraman Park Stud at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Bliss Street is the second winner, from two to race, for the stakes winning mare Jade Diva, whose current yearling, a filly by Fastnet Rock will be offered by Yarraman as Lot 294 at the upcoming Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
