Sydney April 14 – Quality Galileo (IRE) mare Banc de Fortune provided Yarraman Park with another high profile result at the 2011 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale when she fetched $800,000 to the bid of James Bester.
Bester knows the mare well, having secured the daughter of 1997 AJC Oaks winner Danendri out of the same ring at the 2005 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale on behalf of clients for $275,000.
Banc De Fortune was sold in foal to Redoute’s Choice and her first foal, a colt by Fastnet Rock fetched $575,000 for Yarraman Park when sold at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale last week.
Her current weanling, another colt by Fastnet Rock remains at Yarraman Park.
