Gold Coast, January 16 – Yarraman Park’s Magic Albert enjoyed his best ever sale at the Gold Coast during the past week with eight of his stock selling at an average price of $118,125 during the premium first four sessions of the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
He enjoyed 100% clearance of his yearlings and they returned 8.6 times his 2009 service fee of $13,750, making Magic Albert the most profitable sire at this sale in terms of multiple of service fee to average.
Best results for Magic Albert were his colts from Eve Angelene and Alemar that made $220,000 and $200,000 respectively for Rosari Farm and Rheinwood Pastoral, the latter (pictured) a full brother to the dual Group I winner Albert the Fat.
Yarraman Park also enjoyed good results with Magic Albert, selling colts from Pixel ($130,000), Orange Marmalade ($125,000) and Badinov’s Babe ($95,000).
Sale ring interest now moves to Sydney for the 2012 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale where Magic Albert is the most represented sire with 24 youngsters catalogued.
