Brisbane, September 15 – Prime Thoroughbreds would have to be thrilled with the current form of six year-old Magic Albert gelding Too Many Reds, who scored his second win from his past three starts when saluting at Doomben on Saturday for the Tony Gollan stable.
Formerly prepared in Tasmania, Too Many Reds seems to be enjoying his new environment and scored a half neck win in the open handicap over 1200 metres as a well backed favourite.
Bought privately from the paddock at Yarraman Park by Joe O’Neill of Prime Thoroughbreds as a weanling, Too Many Reds has been a terrific money-spinner for his owners winning nine races from 29 starts and more than $242,855 in prizemoney.
Too Many Reds is from the Rubiton mare Red Centre, a daughter of stakes-placed Land of Dreams.
Red Centre has a yearling filly by Magic Albert and produced a colt foal by the same sire last month.
