Gold Coast, January 10 – Victorian trained gelding Flash’n Dough made a successful hit and run raid to the Gold Coast on Magic Millions Day to win the lucrative $100,000 MM Country Cup that closed out the star studded meeting.

A $70,000 purchase for his trainer Stephen Theodore from the Yarraman Park Magic Millions draft in 2007, Flash’n Dough has been in great form this preparation and was well backed to win.

Ridden perfectly by Craig Williams from barrier two, the son of Beautiful Crown (USA) surged clear to win the 1400 metre assignment by more than two lengths, his overall record now four wins and six placings from 24 starts with prizemoney in excess of $100,000.

Flash’n Dough is a half-brother to Group Three winner Belmonte being from the good producing Group Three placed mare Misunderstanding.
