Sydney, November 12 – A standout winner at the Canterbury night meeting last Friday was the Gai Waterhouse trained Magic Albert gelding Daintree Road.

A homebred for well known owner/breeder Yvonne Smith, Daintree Road led all the way from an outside draw, powering clear in the straight to win the 1550 metre restricted event by three lengths.

With four wins and two seconds from just 10 starts and prizemoney in excess of $60,000, Daintree Road looks a promising type to work the grades during the summer.

Daintree Road is the first foal of unplaced Fasliyev (USA) mare Sunset Boulevard and is one of 43 Australian winners this season for Magic Albert.
