Adelaide, April 9 – Smart filly Fast Talker added a third win to her resume when saluting at Morphettville on Saturday in the open three year-old event over 1550 metres.
The daughter of Fastnet Rock was placed to advantage to by Lee Freedman in heading across to Adelaide where she raced up on the pace and never looked in danger of defeat when coasting clear to win by more than a length.
A $320,000 purchase for BBA Ireland from the Yarraman Park draft at the 2008 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Fast Talker was stakes-placed in Adelaide twice last preparation so has a good measure of ability and has already returned connections some $136,577 in prizemoney.
Fast Talker is the first foal of stakes-winning Distorted Humor (USA) mare Crystal Wit, a half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily and to the dam of this season’s top class three year-old Carrara.
A full sister to Fast Talker was sold by Yarraman Park at the 2010 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale last week for $475,000 to James Bester Bloodstock.
