Hinchinbrook was in winning form at Geelong on Tuesday with an impressive victory for Shining Brooke, who carried the Prime Thoroughbreds colours to victory.

Prepared by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, Shining Brooke improved sharply on her first two unplaced runs in good company to dash away and win the 1300 metre maiden by more than two lengths.

Foaled and raised at Yarraman Park, Shining Brooke is the second foal and second winner for Melbourne metropolitan winning Anabaa (USA) mare Shine on Anna, who was also raced by Prime Thoroughbreds and trained by David Hayes.

Shine on Anna comes from an international family that features current star import and dual Group I winner Contributer (IRE).

Yarraman Park sold the current yearling from Shine on Anna, another filly by Hinchinbrook, at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale this year for $85,000 to James Bester Bloodstock.

Shining Brooke is the fifth winner for Hinchinbrook, whose service fee for 2015 remains at $16,500.

Yarraman Park also enjoyed success on the same program at Geelong with three year-old Fastnet Rock gelding Botany Bay opening his account in the 1200 metre maiden.

Having his first run after being gelded and spelled, he won by more than a length for Team Hawkes.

Botany Bay was a $120,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Yarraman Park draft and runs for a syndicate that includes Yarraman Park, who also bred him.

Botany Bay is the second winner for Harlem Heat, a metro winning half-sister to stakes-winners Hot as Hell, Craig’s Dragon and Flaming Hot.

Harlem Heat has a weanling filly by I Am Invincible and will foal again to him this spring.
