With 25 Australian juvenile winners last season, Yarraman Park’s star sire I Am Invincible was the leading sire of two year-old winners and results from the official two year-old trials in Sydney on Monday would suggest he’s on track for another bumper year.

I Am Invincible had three heat winners including the most expensive winner and also the winner by the biggest margin.

Winning the last of 14 heats on the day was the Sun Stud homebred Covert Ops, who bolted clear to win by eight lengths for the Gerald Ryan stable in 49.67 seconds.

Covert Ops is the first foal of Group III winner Fine Bubbles, who was bought by Sun Stud for $400,000 at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in 2016 from the Yarraman Park draft. Fine Bubbles was co-bred and sold by Yarraman Park as a yearling, so it’s great to see her first foal showing such good ability!

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable unleashed Invincible Vision, the half-brother to Golden Slipper winner Mossfun that was bought from the Fairview Park draft at Inglis Easter for $1,050,000. He did everything right in winning his heat by a length in 49.69 seconds.

The third I Am Invincible colt to salute was Head On, a homebred for Turangga Farm’s Stuart Ramsey prepared by Team Hawkes.

The second foal of juvenile stakes-winner Brilliant Bisc, he was very professional in a heat where there were a few erratic runners and forged clear to win by half a length in 49.51 seconds.
