A significant factor going towards the success of this year’s Inglis Classic Yearling Sale Summer Book was the popularity of our young sire I Am Invincible, whose 21 yearlings generated $1,655,500 in turnover.

I Am Invincible had only one yearling passed in and his average of $78,833 was remarkable given his big numbers of youngsters at this sale conceived from an $11,000 fee.

Top seller for I Am Invincible was a colt from Pure Ebony that made $300,000 for Yarraman Park when secured by Gai Waterhouse to be the second highest priced youngster sold at this sale.

The colt will run in the colours of well-known owners Greg and Donna Kolivos and is the second foal of Pure Ebony, a winning half-sister to stakes-winner Conquering Queen, who is by I Am Invincible’s sire Invincible Spirit (IRE).

Other good results for I Am Invincible were colts from Star Prize (Arg) that made $160,000 for Ferndale Farm when bought by James Harron Bloodstock/Snowden Racing and from Magdalena that made $150,000 for Yarraman Park when knocked down to Lindsay Park Racing/ Matchem Racing.
