Turning 12 this year, Berimbau is a half-sister to I Am Invincible stakes-winner Vinco and has produced two winners from three foals to race with Imperatriz, a superstar racking up 13 wins and over $1.6million with five G1 victories including the MVRC William Reid Stakes.
The only other mare in foal to I Am Invincible that was sold went the same way with Chatsworth (Yulong) securing the Yarraman Park consigned Deep Impact mare Da Capo (Jpn) for $725,000.
