Sydney April 9 – The 2010 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale was a challenging sale in many ways with Yarraman Park still performing strongly and achieving an enviable 100% clearance.

Yarraman sold 13 yearlings for $3,450,000 during the premium sessions with top honours shared at $500,000 between a great colt and an equally great filly.

First to sell was the Fastnet Rock colt (pictured) from proven stakes producer Cantinela, who was snapped up by George Moore Bloodstock for $500,000 and hot on his heels was a filly by Starcraft from stakes-winner Dashing Granada that went to Mark Kavanagh Racing Stables for the same amount.

Not far behind at $475,000 was the Fastnet Rock filly from Crystal Wit, a half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily. The well bred miss was pounced upon by astute judge James Bester.

Yarraman Park also sold five youngsters during the Session II part of the sale for $650,000 including the top seller, a colt by Fastnet Rock from Margarine that made $240,000 when secured by Gerald Ryan.

Yarraman Park would like to thank all successful purchasers and wish them the very best of luck with their new acquisitions.
