Sydney, April 8 – Yarraman Park ended the 2009 Inglis Australian Yearling Sale as one of the very few vendors to achieve 100% clearance rate, our highlight on Tuesday a strapping chestnut Encosta de Lago colt from Charmview that made $600,000.
The first foal of his Group Three winning dam, the Encosta de Lago colt will be heading to Hong Kong having been purchased by Surefire Ltd on behalf of leading HK trainer John Moore.
Yarraman sold all 13 yearlings offered during the premium sessions for an aggregate $3,895,000 placing us fourth on the leading vendors by aggregate list behind only Coolmore, Arrowfield and Makybe.
Yarraman also sold their only entry in the Session Two part of the sale, a colt by Keep the Faith from Fete de la Fraise fetching $130,000 to the bid of Blandford Bloodstock also of Hong Kong.
Top seller for Yarraman at Easter this year was the Redoute’s Choice colt from Oceanfast that made $750,000 when secured by Darley on Sunday.
