Sydney, February 11 – Magic Albert enjoyed some good results at the 2009 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, his top seller a handsome chestnut colt from Sri Lanka that made $100,000.
A full brother to the very smart metropolitan winner Lieserl, he was consigned for sale by Kanangra and knocked down to Bill Mitchell.
Other good sales for Magic Albert included a filly from Lukita that made $70,000 for Ascot Park and a colt from Jadana, that was the image of his sire, and went to South Coast trainer Terry Robinson for $55,000, while Hotel Casino’s trainer Grahame Begg also chimed in and bought a colt from Kensington Rose for $40,000.
Magic Albert had 12 youngsters sell in total at an average $31,083, a good result from his 2006 service fee of $11,000.
