Gold Coast, June 8 – Yarraman Park presented some quality youngsters at the 2010 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast with a colt by Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) fetching $240,000 to be the highest selling yearling in the Southern Hemisphere from the first crop of his young sire.
A half-brother to four winners including the stakes-winner Insistence from good producer Opportune, the colt was bought by Magus Equine of Hong Kong.
"I have been very impressed with what I have seen of the Holy Roman Emperor’s, so much so that I bought two at this sale,” said Willie Leung of Magus Equine.
“The colt from Opportune, which we bought for $240,000, is very well put together and a terriffic mover. He looks a real athlete."
Yarraman Park enjoyed 100% clearance at the sale selling all eight horses offered with another pleasing result the Stratum colt from Vahine that made $140,000 to the bid of Peter Morgan.
