The highest-priced filly during the first session of the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale on Sunday was the Yarraman Park consigned I Am Invincible filly from Choose that sold for $360,000.

Purchased by McEvoy Mitchell Racing / Belmont Bloodstock (FBAA), she is a full sister to G2-placed I Choose You and metro winner Bella Rouge and is the fifth foal of G3-placed Starcraft mare choose from the family of G1 winner Bawalaksana and Group winners Damaschino and Shaaheq.

Yarraman Park’s Matt Scown explained the filly was always targeted towards this sale and had been super popular.

“You build confidence with a sale through foot traffic and the Inglis team has done an amazing job to make sure everyone was here, both internationally and locally, it’s a huge effort and it’s a real credit to them that the sale is going so well,’’ Scown said.

“Getting $360,000 is a huge result. She was a gorgeous filly and we really wanted to bring a gun Vinnie filly down here to Classic with a beautiful pedigree to really stand out and she did.

“She was our busiest horse by a mile, she had plenty of vet action, Inglis has done an outstanding job bringing all the people to the sale, the foot traffic has been amazing and she’s sold accordingly. We’re over the moon.’’

Choose had a change of pace in 2023 after six seasons of being covered by I Am Invincible and produced a colt by Brave Smash (Jpn) last spring and was then covered by him again.
