Sydney, June 26 – The first weanlings by Chilean Horse of the Year Trotamondo (Chi) were offered at the Inglis Australian Select Weanling Sale in Sydney last week with a colt from Lady Lexus fetching $50,000.

The fifth foal of Group Two placed Lady Lexus and a half-brother to two winners, the handsome bay was knocked down to Kelso Bloodstock.

Joe O’Neill’s Prime Thoroughbreds snapped up a Trotamondo colt from Miss Schumann for $23,000, the youngster a half-brother to the Prime Thoroughbreds owned I Am Magic, a smart stakes-placed juvenile winner in Tasmania this season.
