Champion sire I Am Invincible produced the highest-priced filly at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale this week with the Noorilim Park-bred and -consigned filly from stakes-placed Special Lover selling for $500,000.

Offered on Monday, the half-sister to G3 MRC Blue Diamond Preview winner Miss Roseiano was purchased by Riverstone Lodge / A & S Freedman / Julian Blaxland Bloodstock (FBAA) and is also a full sister to lightly raced metro winner Socrazyinlove, who topped Inglis Premier in 2023 when fetching $1.1 million.

Special Lover is a granddaughter of G1winner Diamond Lover from the famed Eight Carat (GB) family with this branch also producing last weekend’s G1 VRC Australian Guineas winner Feroce.

“She’s from a blue chip family and she’s by a three-time champion sire in I Am Invincible, and he’s a wonderful sire of fillies,” Julian Blaxland said.

“I’m very excited to get her. Nick Taylor and the team at Riverstone are putting together an elite broodmare band, so hopefully she can perform on the track and be a nice mare for them later on.

“Anthony and Sam will suit her. She’s big and strong, with a lovely loose action on her, and that beautiful quality I Am Invincible puts into his fillies.
