An I Am Invincible colt bred on a similar cross to champion mare Imperatriz was among the highlights during the first session of the NZB Ready to Run Sale on Wednesday when purchased by N & P Balia Family Trust for $580,000.

Consigned by Ohukia Lodge, the colt breezed in 10.47 seconds and is the first foal of Lope de Lope, a winning daughter of stakes-winner Litter.

He was bred by Gall Bloodstock and foaled and raised at Yarraman Park fetching a modest $100,000 when bought by Ohukia Lodge from the Yarraman draft at Inglis Classic this year.

Lope de Lope has a yearling filly by Hellbent.

Hellbent also had a big result with a gelding from My Dear Friend making $425,000 for Kilgravin Lodge when purchased by the now Hong Kong based trainer Mark Newnham.

He was also a super successful pinhook plucked from the Widden draft at Inglis Classic for $80,000 by Kilgravin Lodge / Waikato Bloodstock.
