Gold Coast, March 28 – At the conclusion of the 2008 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast this week Yarraman Park finished as the fifth leading vendor by aggregate after selling 19 youngsters for $3.6 million.
The highlight for Yarraman came with the half-brother (pictured) by Encosta de Lago to stakes-winner Fullazz from the good producer Battonage. He attracted much attention with Patinack Farm proving too strong in securing the powerhouse chestnut colt for $660,000.
The top filly sold by Yarraman this year was the second foal of smart winner Sacred Hill, with Badgers Bloodstock going to $360,000 to secure the daughter of champion sire Encosta de Lago.
Other good results for Yarraman included the Catbird colt from Sakhalin (USA) that made $350,000 to the bid of Matthew Williams, the Encosta de Lago colt from Shanghai Moon knocked down to Patinack for $340,000 and the Fastnet Rock filly from Crystal Wit, secured for $320,000 by BBA Ireland.
