Sydney, April 6 – Despite the tough economic climate, Yarraman Park sold all six yearlings offered on the first day of the 2009 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, the top seller a Redoute’s Choice colt from Oceanfast that made $750,000.
A half-brother to champion filly Alinghi, the strapping bay colt was secured by Darley Australia, who also purchased the Elusive Quality (USA) filly from Group One winner Magical Miss for $300,000.
Successful owner David Fuller, who has been enjoying a fabulous ride with Randwick/ Rosehill Guineas hero Metal Bender bid $350,000 to purchase the Encosta de Lago filly from Orderly, whose half-sister Disciplined won again in Melbourne on Saturday.
The sale continues on Monday and Tuesday.
