Yarraman Park made a strong start to the 2022 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale with a colt by I Am Invincible from Mark Two (NZ) selling for $550,000 to be the equal second highest priced yearling sold on Sunday.

He is the first foal of the Group II placed Pins mare and was bought by Craig Rounsefell for the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

“As opposed to a lot of people here at this sale that are looking for two year-olds, we’re looking for horses that will excel as three, four and five year-olds,” Rounsefell told Racing.com.

“We focus on quality, Hong Kong is a very tough jurisdiction and you need quality to compete up there.”

Mark Two is a full sister to Group III winner Whistling Dixie and a half-sister to stakes-winner Atmosphere, who was second in the Group I Champions and Chater Cup in Hong Kong.

Mark Two has another colt by I Am Invincible and is now back in foal to him again.

Hellbent also had a big result with Yarraman Park selling his filly from Snow Flight for $310,000 to Tony Ottobre.

She is a three-quarter sister to dual Group I winner and $2.8million earner Viddora.

Snow Flight has another filly to follow by Hellbent and is back in foal to him again.

The sale continues.
