October 15 – It’s been a frustrating week for Magic Albert with no fewer than five individual second placings to his credit including metropolitan performers Maritess, Something Anything and Ellista.

All three are already metropolitan winners in any case and are obviously holding their form in good style.

Magic Albert has really hit his straps this season, particularly in New Zealand where he’s had just the two runners and both are stakes horses in Alberto and Magic Cape.

Magic Albert has three entries that should attract keen interest in the upcoming New Zealand Ready to Run Sale of Two Year Olds (21 & 22 November).

They are:

• Lot 51, a colt from Butterfly, an unraced half-sister to stakes-winner Warning Siren.

• Lot 93, a half-sister to Malaysian stakes-winner China Rock from the Danehill (USA) mare Duotone.

• Lot 207, a colt from metropolitan winner Mount the Moon, a full sister to stakes-winner Defensive Play.
