Sydney, April 11 – Golden Slipper winner Catbird had just the one entry in the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale this year, which provided a good result for Lustre Lodge when the filly made $160,000 to the bid of Aquanita Racing.

The chestnut filly is the fourth foal of the metropolitan winning Palace Music (USA) mare Grand Performance, a half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Stratum.

Catbird will stand the coming season at a fee of $22,000 representing outstanding value for breeders looking for a solid commercial sire at a realistic price.

Yarraman Park also had a good result during the Wednesday evening session when the Elusive Quality (USA) filly from Lady Danna made $425,000, knocked down to Tim Stakemire acting for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.

The filly is a half-sister to triple Group One winner Barely a Moment and is bred on the same Elusive Quality (USA) x Danehill (USA) cross as this season’s Group One winning juvenile Camarilla.
