Sydney, May 7 – Impressive debut winner Passenger earned plenty of praise for his explosive win at Canterbury on Monday and Yarraman Park will be offering his half-brother at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale.

A big strapping bay colt, still well above himself in condition, Passenger raced greenly throughout and was nearer last to first when the field straightened for home.

With champion jockey Darren Beadman working hard to keep him on a straight course, Passenger unleashed a devastating finishing burst that carried him straight past the leaders to record a sensational two length win.

A $950,000 Inglis Easter purchase, the son of Redoute’s Choice is a member of the powerful John Hawkes stable.

Passenger is bred on the same cross as recent Group One winner Anamato, being from Group Three placed Whisky Road (USA) mare Perfect Draw, the dam of stakes-winner My Juliet, who is better known as the dam of Group One winner Mnemosyne.

Acquired by Yarraman Park after Passenger was foaled, Perfect Draw died in 2006 and her last foal, a colt by Encosta de Lago, will be offered for sale as Lot 2392 at the 2007 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale in June.
