Melbourne, September 25 – An easy winner at the Cranbourne juvenile trials on Monday morning was Snitzel’s full sister Viennese, a $1.4 million Magic Millions purchase for Darley from the draft of Yarraman Park.

The top priced filly at Magic Millions this year, Viennese showed all the precocity of her Group One winning brother in skipping clear to win her 800 metre trial by two lengths in 47.17 seconds.

Prepared for Darley by Lee Freedman, Viennese would seem an ideal type to progress to the early juvenile stakes events in Melbourne, her brother Snitzel having kicked off his career with a blistering three length win in the 2004 Listed AJC Breeders Plate at Randwick.

Viennese is the fifth foal of stakes-winning mare Snippets’ Lass, who also has a lovely yearling colt by Fastnet Rock.
