Fresh from siring a new Group I winning juvenile colt on Saturday in Seize the Day, champion sire I Am Invincible produced the first million-dollar colt of Inglis Easter on Sunday when the Cressfield bred and consigned colt from Pippie made $1.35million.
He is the third foal of dual Group I winning Written Tycoon mare Pippie, who was bought by Cressfield for $1.8million at the 2021 Inglis Chairman’s Sale.
Her first foal was a Snitzel filly (Samudra) bought by David Ellis for $775,000 at Inglis Easter and her second is an I Am Invincible filly (Empress K) that made $1.4million last year when bought by Champions Farm / Satomi Oka Bloodstock.

Both fillies have come out and won, putting the spotlight on this colt, who is sadly the last foal from Pippie, who died in 2024.
The Newgate and China Horse Club partners have enjoyed much success sourcing colts with a view to creating stallions and are hopeful this fellow can follow suit.

“He was nearly our favourite colt on the ground and certainly one of our top five favourite colts,” said Henry Field.
“A masculine, powerful colt out of a very fast mare and bred on a terrific farm inCressfield, so really, you know I know it’s a cliched expression, but he ticked every box.
“He looked like the kind of horse you could see standing in the stallion barn in a couple of years’ time.
“We have had a wonderful relationship with China Horse Club and partners and have 15 horses that have gone on to become stallions and I hope he’s number 16.”
A trainer for the colt will be decided after he is broken in.
