On a quiet Monday as we come out of winter, a blueblood I Am Invincible three-year-old colt that wins on debut for the Ciaron Maher stable is always worth a closer look.

Sent out first up over 1400m at Pakenham, Utopic Future was sent forward to track the leader in second place for much of the run and after hitting the front was able to pull out plenty under pressure for Thomas Stockdale to win by a neck.

It was a tenacious effort for a big strong colt that will no doubt take benefit from the experience.

A $600,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Yarraman Park for Hong Kong Bloodstock / NPC, Utopic Future was bred by Yarraman in partnership and is the first foal of stakes-winning Lope de Vega mare Noor Sahara (IRE).

From the family of champion sprinter miler Dream Ahead and Group I winner Fairyland, Noor Sahara was sold at the 2025 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $550,000 to Alma Vale Thoroughbreds.

She produced an I Am Invincible filly for her new owners that sold at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale this year for $400,000 to Wattle Bloodstock and Yarraman sold her now two-year-old colt for $400,000 at Inglis Easter this year to KPW Bloodstock.

Noor Sahara is locked and loaded for a bright future with her first three foals all by I Am Invincible and she is due to foal this spring for Alma Vale to Anamoe.
