Sydney, February 6 – Talented three year-old filly Aggie Grey made a winning debut at Canterbury on Wednesday when she led throughout to win her maiden by three and a half lengths over 1100 metres.

Trained by Tim Martin, the speedy daughter of Agnes World (USA) is now unbeaten in two barrier trials and the one race, so looks to have a bright future.

Foaled and raised at Yarraman Park, Aggie Grey made just $20,000 when offered through the ring at the 2006 Magic Millions Yearling Sale with Arthur and Harry Mitchell electing to take a share in the filly.

She is the second foal of stakes-placed Graphite Lass, whose dam Bratenahl is a sister to stakes-winner Fabulous Friscoe.

Graphite Lass sadly does not have a yearling for 2008, but did produce a Catbird colt last spring.
