Sydney, September 20 – Danehill Dancer (IRE) four year-old Lorne Dancer is in career best form at present posting an impressive win at Rosehill on Saturday following up from his previous win over the same course and distance last Saturday.
Up in class to a Ratings 86 event, the Gai Waterhouse trained Lorne Dancer made it look all too easy as he cruised clear to win by two and a half lengths taking his overall record to five wins and four placings from 11 starts with prizemoney of $164,620.
“He’s the most improved horse in the stable,” Waterhouse said.
“He’s come of age on the extra distance, I’m not sure what it is but it’s working.”
Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Lorne Dancer fetched $70,000 when knocked down to Waterhouse at the 2006 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
Lorne Dancer is from stakes-placed Seattle Dancer (USA) mare Fabled, who produced a Foreplay colt last spring and is due to foal to Magic Albert.
