Gold Coast, January 5 – What do Snitzel, Amelia’s Dream and Viennese have in common? Redoute’s Choice-Yarraman-Magic Millions – read on to find out more on this winning combination in 2009.

Yarraman sold horses enjoyed a great year on the track in 2008 with highlights including the freakishly good Redoute’s Choice filly Amelia’s Dream, winner of the Group Two STC Silver Slipper; Group Two AJC Villiers Stakes hero Something Anything as well as stakes-winners Viennese, Lorne Dancer, Here de Angels and a host of smart winners including Simplest, Carlton Forward, Margham, etc.

Now with accomplished horsewoman Megan Kelso on board as Yearling Manager, Yarraman will head to the Gold Coast with another crackerjack lineup of 25 youngsters with an obvious highlight being Lot 171, the Redoute’s Choice colt from Twist My Heart (USA), who topped the MM National Weanling sale last year.

“He’s the obvious star and we’re delighted with him,” said Mitchell.

“He’d be one of the nicest colts we’ve ever had and has just improved every day since he’s been here. He’s not too heavy, just a lovely athletic horse that is going to appeal to a lot of people.”

A three-quarter brother-in-blood to champion two year-old Fashions Afield, the star colt is from stakes-placed Twist My Heart (USA), who has the perfect record of four foals to race all winners.

Lot 558 is an eye-catching Commands colt from another mare with a perfect record in Mad Desire, who has had five foals to race all winners led by stakes-winner Given and stakes-placed performers Simplest and Amazing One.

“He’s a standout and so is the Flying Spur colt from stakes-placed Irgunette, he’s a another cracking type that will just sell himself,” added Mitchell.

Another colt with a big pedigree is Lot 135, the Redoute’s Choice from Swept Overboard, an unraced half-sister to champion racehorse Grand Armee, making this colt a close relation to Group One SAJC Australasian Oaks winner Anamato.

“He’s a big leggy horse that is really coming along well now and while he might need some time is probably typical of the rest of his female family in that regard which is hardly a bad thing,” Mitchell explained.
