Sydney, May 13 – The disqualification of Keepin’ The Dream, who won the Listed STC Sky High Stakes at Rosehill back during the autumn carnival has meant a promotion to first place for runner-up Kettledrum, a $120,000 purchase from the draft of Yarraman Park at the 2006 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale.

Stewards acted under racing rule AR177 to disqualify Keepin’ the Dream after the horse returned a positive swab to the prohibited substance, testosterone, at a level greater than allowed.

A handy stayer for the David Payne stable, Kettledrum has won three races and placed nine times from 19 starts earning $183,150 in prizemoney.

Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Kettledrum is a half-brother by O’Reilly to Caulfield Guineas winner Econsul being from the Group One placed Centaine mare Gypsy Soul, who died prematurely in November of 2006.

Her last foal for Yarraman was a filly by Exceed and Excel that was sold at the 2007 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale for $235,000 with Michael Flannery the successful bidder.
