January 17 – Yarraman Park enjoyed solid results at the 2011 Magic Millions Yearling Sale with 15 yearlings selling in Sessions One to Four for $1.7 million, while our sire Magic Albert stamped his mark as a serious commercial stallion with four yearlings averaging $102,500.

Top sellers for Yarraman Park were a Red Ransom (USA) filly from Gathering Storm and a Fastnet Rock colt from Husson Circle that both made $200,000, the filly going to Worldwide Bloodstock and the colt to Peter Moody.

Magic Albert provided the third highest priced horse for Yarraman with his filly from Zab Watch selling for $155,000, while his colt from Rivers Secret went to Ingham Racing for $140,000.

The first yearlings by our new sire Trotamondo (Chi) also met with keen interest and his two colts offered in Sessions One to Four from Mi Chiamo and Dynamite Lady made $100,000 and $90,000, with Arrowfield Training securing the former and Kylie Dowling the latter.

Trotamondo had a further three yearlings sell in Session Five at an average of $40,667 giving him an overall average for the sale of $62,400.

We wish all purchasers the best of luck with their new acquisitions.
