Perth, July 30 – Purchased for $320,000 by Belmont Bloodstock from the Yarraman Park draft at the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Al Maher filly Silverstream is the most expensive yearling for her sire ever sold and looked the goods when winning on debut at Belmont on Wednesday.

Prepared by Grant Williams, Silverstream won a recent trial at the same venue and ran up to that form in finding the line strongly to take the 1200 metre restricted juvenile event by half a length.

Silverstream runs for popular WA based owners Bob and Sue Peters and is a full sister to Group III AJC Adrian Knox Stakes winner Speedy Natalie.

Foaled and raised at Yarraman Park, she is the sixth winner from stakes-winning Brocco (USA) mare Speedy Bell, whose current yearling filly by Not a Single Doubt fetched $170,000 at Magic Millions this year when secured by Round Table Racing/James Harron Bloodstock.

Speedy Bell has a weanling colt to follow by Snitzel, but unfortunately missed to Hinchinbrook last spring.
