Adelaide, August 9 – Reigning Champion First Season Sire I Am Invincible posted his first winner of the new season when stakes-placed Silent Whisper broke the ice with his first victory at Morphettville.

Third in the Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate last spring, the Lloyd Kennewell trained gelding resumed from a spell to score a half-length win over 1050 metres as favourite.

A $16,000 Inglis Classic purchase for his trainer from the draft of Summerhill Thoroughbreds, Silent Whisper has a win and three placings from six starts with prizemoney topping $40,000.

He is the third winner from three foals to race from In a Whisper, a half-sister by Real Quiet (USA) to stakes-winner Wonderer.

Summerhill Thoroughbreds will be cheering his success as his dam was covered again by I am Invincible last spring.

I Am Invincible is fully booked this spring at the increased fee of $27,500.
