Scoring a popular metropolitan success for a big group of owners at Sandown on Saturday was six year-old mare Quicksilver Lass, a $100,000 Magic Millions purchase for Pacific Heritage Farms from the Yarraman Park draft.
The Tony Noonan trained daughter of Testa Rossa has had a chequered career owing to injury, but put it all together to win the 1600 metre Benchmark 64 event by a neck.
Quicksilver Lass has won four of 18 starts earning over $115,000 in prizemoney.
Quicksilver Lass is the first foal of stakes-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Fullazz, who comes from the family of stakes-winners such as Loving Cup, Laudemio, Pittance and Shy Hero.
She was on-sold by Yarraman Park in 2012 at the Inglis Broodmare Sale for $90,000 to Baramul Stud.
