A homebred for well-known Sydney owner/breeder Don Storey, improving I am Invincible mare Modesty scored her first metropolitan success at Moonee Valley on Friday night. Now trained at Warrnambool by Daniel Bowman after starting her career in Sydney with Joe Pride, Modesty was a first up winner last month at Warrnambool and kept up the good work to score an easy two length win. She travelled up on the pace and skipped away to win as she pleased. Modesty has now won three of six starts with more wins in store. She is one of five winners from Octagonal mare Special Test, a full sister to the dam of Mr Storey’s $1.5 million earner Rain Affair. Modesty is the third metropolitan winner for I Am Invincible this week.
