Gosford, June 15 – The winning run being enjoyed by Joe O’Neill’s Prime Thoroughbreds continued at Gosford on Thursday when the 1100 metre maiden was won in style by Albert’s Image, a son of Yarraman Park’s popular young sire Magic Albert.
Prepared by Kris Lees the handsome chestnut gelding led comfortably throughout and then kicked strongly in the straight to win by the best part of a length in an encouraging debut.
“We think he’s a very nice horse and were confident he would run well today,” said Joe O’Neill.
“I really like the Magic Alberts, although they need a bit of time, but if you look after them they can run.”
Albert’s Image was purchased by Prime Thoroughbreds for $45,000 from the draft of Baerami Thoroughbreds at the 2005 Magic Millions Yearling Sale in Adelaide.
Albert’s Image is the one and only foal of Aromatherapy (NZ), a winning half-sister by Housebuster (USA) to Group One placed Zazabelle from the Group Three winner The Perfume Garden.
Albert’s Image is one of 37 Australian winners for Magic Albert this season.
