Sydney, April 10 – Yarraman Park are renowned for producing quality yearlings that can run with brilliant Group Two STC Silver Slipper winner Amelia’s Dream one of their star graduates from last year’s consignments.

This year the Mitchell family will head to Sydney for the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling sale with 13 horses for the Select Session Part One and a further half dozen for Part Two.

Headlining the draft is Lot 277, a full brother to champion filly Alinghi by Encosta de Lago from grand producer Oceanfast, who has left four foals to race all winners with Alinghi joined by stakes-placed Slice of Paradise and Perfect Persuasion along with smart winner Musaytir.

Yarraman have sold fillies by Encosta de Lago from Oceanfast for the last two years at Easter for $2.6 million (Perfect Persuasion) and $1.4 million (unraced two year-old Azumi), with this colt tipped as another outstanding individual from the mare.

“Of all of them he’s probably the most like Alinghi and you’d have to say he’d be a great stallion prospect if he can get the results on the track,” said Harry Mitchell.

A lovely athletic filly is Lot 24, the three-quarter sister by Flying Spur to Group Two placed filly My Only Hope from the Marauding (NZ) mare Cantenac.

Sadly this is the third and final foal of Cantenac, who passed away last year.
