Malaysia – Outstanding Singapore galloper Mr Big has added another big race win to his impressive resume with an easy victory in Sunday’s RM1 million Magic Millions Malaysian Classic at Penang.
Regarded as one of the finest sprinters in Singapore since the night of his Kranji debut win, the Michael Freedman trained Mr Big has been racing at the elite level throughout the region ever since.
Mr Big is yet to miss a place in his 19 starts – 10 wins and nine placings – and won a Magic Millions Juvenile Championship and Aushorse Golden Horseshoe at two before training on to win a Kranji Sprint, Woodlands Handicap and Garden City Trophy, not to mention finishing a gallant second in the KrisFlyer International Sprint earlier this year.
A $21,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Yarraman Park Stud, Mr Big has earned over S$1.5 million during his star studded career to date.
Bred by Shadwell and foaled and raised at Yarraman Park, Mr Big is bred on the Elusive Quality (USA) -Danehill cross that also produced champion juvenile Sepoy being from the unraced Danehill mare Basamaat (IRE).
