South Africa, November 4 – Unbeaten Australian colt Mujaarib made it four wins in as many starts when he charged home to win the Group II Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday.
A homebred for Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum trained by Mike de Kock, the Nadeem colt was one of five runners in the race for the champion trainer and was not the best fancied, but he emerged the winner after producing a brilliant turn of foot to score a last stride win.
Foaled and raised at Yarraman Park, Mujaarib is a half-brother to stakes-placed Tahtheeb and is one of six winners from Mihnah (IRE), who died last year after producing her last foal which is a full sister to Mujaarib.
