Tasmania, November 30 – Tasmanian based Magic Albert mare Greenmount Belle snared some valuable Black Type on Sunday when finishing third in the Listed Newmarket Handicap at Launceston.
A winner at her previous start, the Prime Thoroughbreds owned Greenmount Belle produced her usual honest effort to hold third behind Scenic Silver and Wealthy Lad.
Prepared by Charlie Goggin, Greenmount Belle has been ultra consistent winning seven of 21 starts and placing a further three times her earnings now in excess of $80,000.
A bargain basement purchase, having been snaffled by Prime Thoroughbreds for just $10,000 from the Willow Park draft at the 2006 Magic Millions Yearling Sale Session Five, Greenmount Belle is from the Red Anchor mare Noonabelle, a half-sister to stakes-placed Delfina.
