Tasmania, May 20 – The Prime Thoroughbreds owned Magic Albert filly Greenmount Belle thumped her rivals at Elwick on Sunday when she strolled clear to win the 1200 metre Class Four event by seven lengths.

Resuming from a spell of 12 weeks, the Charlie Goggin trained filly gave nothing else a chance in taking her overall record to five wins from 13 starts with prizemoney in excess of $43,000.

“She carried 58kg and took on older horses so it was a terrific win and Charlie (Goggin) is looking at taking her across to Melbourne for a few races this preparation,” said Joe O’Neill of Prime Thoroughbreds.

A bargain basement purchase, having been snaffled by Prime Thoroughbreds for just $10,000 from the Willow Park draft at the 2006 Magic Millions Yearling Sale Session Five, Greenmount Belle is from the Red Anchor mare Noonabelle, a half-sister to stakes-placed Delfina.
