October 3 – In the spring of 2006 one of the form mares of the carnival was quality sprinter miler Rewaaya, who took out the Group One MRC Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes and two years on she’s a mother for the first time having produced a beautiful filly at Yarraman Park.

Bred and retained to race by Sheikh Hamdan’s Shadwell Stud, Rewaaya is the dam of this appealing bay filly foaled on September 3 and stamped very much in the mould of her champion sire Redoute’s Choice.

From the one and only Australia crop of foals by former champion racehorse and top line sire Singspiel (IRE) who shuttled to Darley, Rewaaya comes from a great Australian family tracing to Easy Date, the dam of Snippets.

In recent times the family has kicked goals all over with horses such as dual Group One winner and Golden Slipper winner Forensics and classy juveniles Zizou and Not a Single Doubt.

A winner of five races and over $700,000 in prizemoney, Rewaaya has already been covered again by Redoute’s Choice.

Also an interesting arrival at Yarraman was the first foal for stakes-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Fullazz, who produced a striking filly by Testa Rossa and is booked to visit More Than Ready (USA).
