The open juvenile event at Morphettville on Saturday was won by promising I Am Invincible filly Comprende, who made headlines at the 2014 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast when she fetched $440,000 for Yarraman Park.

Prepared by leading South Australian trainer Phillip Stokes, Comprende had no luck when finishing midfield beaten just three and a half lengths in the Group III MRC Blue Diamond Prelude behind Fontiton and Haybah, but was quick to make amends when taken home to Adelaide.

She was always up on the pace and turned in a tenacious effort to win the 1000 metre dash by a short half head as favourite.

Consigned by Yarraman Park for her breeder Jilly Henderson, Comprende was purchased for $440,000 by bloodstock agent Anthony Cavanagh setting the benchmark for I Am Invincible as his most expensive yearling.

She is a half-sister to Group III winner Excites Zelady and is the seventh winner from seven to race from metro winning Zeditave mare Zelady, who was covered again by I Am Invincible last spring.
