Gold Coast, May 2 – Facile Tigre was not the only winner at the Gold Coast on Saturday sold by Yarraman Park with smart Kiwi trained filly Prix du Sang opening her account in Australia with a win in the Class Six event over 1800 metres.
By Red Ransom (USA) from the well-related mare Morinda, Prix du Sang was snapped up by Paul Moroney Bloodstock for $100,000 at the 2007 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale and is raced by Windsor Park Stud.
Group Three placed in her previous start in New Zealand, Prix du Sang has been ultra consistent with two wins and four placings from just seven starts.
Prix du Sang is the first foal of Morinda, a half-sister by Desert King (IRE) to Group winners So Gorgeous, Wild Queen and Cumbria from the famed Denise’s Joy family.
