Melbourne, November 3 – Talented mare Soft Sand ran a fantastic race at Flemington on Saturday storming home from last to beat all but the winner Appearance in the Group I VRC Myer Classic.

The Colin Little trained four year-old has always shown plenty of ability with past wins including the Listed MRC Kevin Hayes Stakes and judging by this run has plenty of more wins in store.

A $160,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the draft of Yarraman Park, Soft Sand has already won four of 12 starts and more than $300,000 in prizemoney for the Glenferrie Farm Syndicate.

Imported in utero, Soft Sand was bred by Yarraman Park and is by international sire Dansili. She is the first foal of the Rahy mare Mizzle (USA), a three-quarter sister to Group III Newmarket July Cup winner City On a Hill from Group I winner Loving Claim.

Mizzle has a yearling filly by Nicconi and had a filly foal this spring by our young sire Hinchinbrook.
