Yarraman Park based sire Magic Albert was back in the winners list at Eagle Farm on Saturday when his promising colt Alberts Return notched his third successive victory.

Starting odds on favourite, Alberts Return made light work of the 1600 metre open event for two-year olds, running out an easy two length winner.

The Sue Birney trained colt has now won three races and placed twice from seven starts earning $42,900 for owner Wayne Cupitt, who purchased the colt for $40,000 at the 2005 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Alberts Return is a half-brother to South African Group Two winner Full Press from the stakes-winner Peignoir (NZ), a daughter of the Nijinsky horse Tights (USA).

Magic Albert has sired 13 individual winners this season in Australia and New Zealand and leads the sires table in terms of individual winners.

He will stand the coming season at Yarraman Park Stud at a fee of $11,000.
